All new participants are required to complete an RDA Participant Application Form. This allows us to understand your aims and needs and whether we have the facilities and activities to support you.
The welfare of our horses is paramount and for that reason every horse will have a maximum weight carrying capability. Our maximum weight limit for our largest horses is currently 12.5 stone/79.4kgs. Participants exceeding our maximum weight limit can be considered for mechanical horse sessions as an alternative.
Once we have received your form, we will contact you to arrange an ‘off the horse’ assessment. This is a 30-minute informal conversation with our RDA Advanced Coach in which you will have the opportunity to ask any questions you have. Occasionally we may request an assessment on the horse.

On the horse assessment £20.00
Following your assessment our Coach will be in touch regarding a suitable equine activity and a start date and time.
