CSRC would like to say a huge thank you to Catherine Duff for raising an incredible £20,424 (inc. Gift Aid) for Clwyd Special Riding Centre!
Catherine, a daughter of CSRC's founder Anne Sopwith, turned 60 in May. Most people would celebrate with cake and a bottle of fizz but Catherine thought differently and decided to give herself the 'little' challenge of completing an Ironman triathlon!
"I have always wanted to do an Ironman - in my eyes the ultimate challenge", says Catherine, "but swimming is so not my thing... in fact I'm not sure cycling is either! So, this was my Ironman challenge to raise funds for the Clwyd Special Riding Centre."
In just 15 days, Catherine ran an incredible 60 miles, cycled 600 miles and swam 600 lengths. To have raised over £20,000 in just 15 days is phenomenal.
Thank you, Catherine and all your family and friends, for supporting CSRC and good luck to your daughter, Amy, who is embarking on her virtual London Marathon run again in aid of CSRC.
