CSRC is extremely grateful to the members of Eaton Golf Club who, across last year, raised an astonishing £13,026.92 for the Centre.
Every year, the newly appointed Captain, and Lady Captain at Eaton Golf Club, in Waverton, Chester, announce their chosen charities who will benefit from the fundraising activities held across their 12-month captaincy.
Eaton’s 2022 Captain, Phil Davies, named Clwyd Special Riding Centre as his chosen charity.
The golf club held numerous fundraising events including a PGA Charity Pro-Am competition – which attracted golfers from all over Northern England and Wales, evening functions and even a penalty fine for anyone ‘putting’ into the bunker – which raised a fair few pounds!
Phil said: “We’re delighted that so much money was raised for two local charities, including my chosen charity, Clwyd Special Riding Centre in Llanfynydd near Wrexham, where my sister is a volunteer. It is a place I am very passionate about supporting because it offers a variety of equine experiences for people with additional needs. Over the past 40 years it has made a difference to so many lives.”
Pictured above with Phil Davies, CSRC’s Fundraising Manager, Tracey Pearson and Centre Coordinator, Kate Kerr; were invited to Eaton Golf Club to be presented with the cheque and to meet some of the members who generously gave to both CSRC and to the Lady Captain’s chosen charity: Save the Family.
CSRC would like to thank everyone who took part in the fundraising events and to all the sponsors and donors for their support and generosity.
