When Clwyd Special Riding Centre’s holiday accommodation, Ty Gwyliau, was hit by flooding in December 2022, it wiped out the whole of the left side of the accommodation, rendering it in need of a full refurbishment.
For over 30 years, CSRC has welcomed Riding for the Disabled holiday groups from all over the UK and beyond to enjoy residential riding holidays. For many regular attendees, these riding holidays are the highlight of their year – so we were determined not to let them down by having to cancel their 2023 holiday due to the refurbishment.
We quickly set out to engage the professional services needed to get the accommodation back up and running again ready for the summer.
With the boiler on the left hand side damaged, we called in local gas engineer, Dean Jones, of Jones the Gas. Dean chose Navien branded boilers to replace not only the damaged boiler but also to the ageing boiler on the right-hand side. While the insurance covered only one of the two required, Navien UK very kindly replaced the second boiler free of charge! Not only did Navien donate a boiler, but Dean also fitted the boilers free of charge and helped bring Navien UK on board. Needless to say, this was a massive help towards the cost of renovation.
We now have two Navien NCB-CE 33kw gas condensing system boilers that ensure our heating and water supply is efficient, reliable and can be adjusted from a smartphone when the weather unexpectedly turns cold!
Thank you once again to Navien UK and Dean Jones of Jones the Gas for helping us out in our hour of need.
We are delighted to report that all our holiday bookings went ahead as planned, and we are looking forward to welcoming more RDA holiday groups in 2024.
