Thanks to a grant secured from the Screwfix Foundation of £5,424, Clwyd Special Riding Centre has been able to replace the aging windows in our accessible holiday accommodation.
The Screwfix Foundation supports charities and not-for-profit organisations across the UK to fix, repair, maintain and improve properties and community facilities for those in need.
This grant fitted in perfectly with our refurbishment project of Ty Gwyliau, our 18-bed accessible holiday accommodation, used by RDA Holiday Groups. Built in 1992, this meant the original windows were in desperate need of upgrading.
With 12 of the original windows now replaced with modern efficient double-glazing, we can be assured that our accommodation can run efficiently with no draughts! A very welcome addition given the recent cold and blustery weather.
A huge thank you to the Screwfix Foundation, and to the great team of window fitters from ADG Alpine Windows of Gwersylt, nr Wrexham, who were appointed to fit the windows and did a fantastic job!
