Volunteers are the lifeline of our charity. Without their support we simply could not deliver our therapy sessions, maintain the Centre, or grow our services to enable more people to access the benefits of equine assisted therapy.
Volunteering is extremely rewarding. You learn new skills, make new friends, and the act of giving your time to help someone can, in itself, help to enhance your own well-being.
You don't have to be horsey to volunteer here! If you have a skill or qualification that you feel would be of benefit, then we want to hear from you!
Just a few regular hours a week from a volunteer can help offer more people the opportunity to enjoy the benefits of equine therapy. And while we need volunteers who can commit to weekly sessions, we are also looking for people who can help for one off events and projects.
THERE ARE MANY WAYS YOU CAN HELP
Provide general help around the Centre and at events:
Gardening and general site maintenance.
Maintaining our all-weather 2km track.
Helping at fundraising and promotional events.
Help out in our equine based sessions:
Leading ponies in sessions.
Side walking in riding sessions - walking alongside the rider at the horses side to offer support.
Supporting our carriage driving sessions and ground based equine therapy sessions.
HOW MUCH TIME DO I NEED TO OFFER?
Regular hours every week: We are looking for volunteers who can offer a few regular hours each week to help out in our weekly sessions.
Regular hours every week or month: To help maintain the site.
At key dates throughout the year: You may only wish to volunteer a few times throughout the year. We always need volunteers to help out at fundraising events.
With your golden gift of time, together we can all help to make a difference to someone's life.
