Are you passionate about horses and helping people? We are looking for experienced or trainee carriage driving coaches to join the established Clwyd RDA Driving Group, based at Clwyd Special Riding Centre. Some horse handling knowledge is essential; and carriage driving training can be provided.
Duties:
• Driving single horse/pony.
• Supporting the volunteer team to harness and put horses to the carriages.
• Meeting and greeting clients with a range of disabilities.
• Taking clients for pleasure carriage drives on our all-weather track and/or driving instruction in the indoor school.
• Support the training of new volunteers in equine handling and carriage driving activities.
Specific requirements:
• Good communication skills essential to interact successfully with clients, their family/carers, and our volunteers.
• Calm disposition.
• Team player.
• Good sense of humour.
• Understanding of health and safety; equality and diversity and safeguarding principles; training will be provided.
Hours: Mondays from mid-morning to 4pm.
