In July, we were thrilled to welcome to the Centre, Sophie Wells OBE - Paralympic, World and European Gold Medallist, to host two days of dressage clinics.
Now Sophie is in Paris with her ride, Samoa, waiting to represent Great Britain at the Paralympic Games for the fourth time.
Also proudly representing Great Britain is Georgia Wilson. Georgia rode at Clwyd Special Riding Centre (CSRC) between 2003-2006. During that time, she competed at her first RDA National Championships, and that was the start of her competing journey. Georgia’s first Paralympic Games was in Tokyo when she achieved two bronze medals. We are all very proud and excited to watch Georgia compete on Sakura.
Georgia is not the only Paralympian to have ridden at the Centre. Nicola Tustain MBE started riding at CSRC at the age of 10. It was whilst here she was introduced to dressage at a national level and then went on to become one of Britain’s best-known Para–Equestrian Dressage riders.
We wish both Sophie and Georgia, and the rest of the GB team, a very successful Paralympics.
Good Luck Everyone!
