Clwyd Special Riding Centre | Llanfynydd | Accessible Horse Riding Centre in North Wales

Clwyd Special Riding Centre (CSRC) is an independent registered charity located in Llanfynydd, near Wrexham, North Wales. The Centre provides state-of-the-art facilities that support Riding for the Disabled and equine based activities, benefitting people of all ages with a wide range of disabilities and additional needs.

CSRC is run by a small team of experienced staff, managed by a board of trustees, supported by a large pool of incredible volunteers and a loyal team of RDA approved horses and ponies.

The Centre opened in 1982 and is an approved Riding for the Disabled (RDA) and British Horse Society (BHS) Centre.

RDA CARRIAGE DRIVING

Especially adapted carriages make carriage driving accessible to wheelchair users and those with limited mobility. The exhilarating feeling of movement provided by carriage driving is both therapeutic and a great sport. Our 2km all-weather track offers a unique driving experience around our peaceful setting.

MECHANICAL HORSE

Our state-of-the-art fully simulated mechanical horse with interactive screen offers an alternative riding experience that helps to build core strength and improve balance and posture. With its interactive screen you can choose to ride along the beach, go cross country or hone your dressage skills.

For over 30 years, CSRC has been welcoming RDA holiday groups from all over the UK to enjoy residential riding holidays. Our purpose built 18-bed fully accessible holiday accommodation offers a unique getaway that caters for people with additional needs.

Also available for private hire to groups and families wanting to explore the stunning Welsh countryside and local attractions.
